Last week I bought a 2010 TDCi Focus which performs very well. The one disappointment is the AM Radio. I am located in Croydon (VIC) and it is almost impossible to receive any AM stations. All FM stations are fine. Is this a fault with the radio or should I have the problem investigated?

Had the same car. Had same problem. Have you checked the antenna that it's screwed in tight? Mine always seemed to get a little loose over time.
I reported the issue and had the antenna replaced under warranty. Hardly made a difference. Your problem seems bad, I had poor reception and weird buzzes, hums and ticking in the background with am, FM was fine.
