Roy,
The car has 404rwhp or approx 500hp odd engine! very nice package and very much a good all round street car.Sorry no pics but will be plenty of chances in the near future as we will keep racing it for a while yet.

Impressive time, what was the 60 foot and half track? What manifold are you running to fit under the shaker?
Top effort!!! |

WOW AWESOME effort considering Stefans made 355rwhp on your dyno to run 12.92 @ 111 MPH on 5 slotters, 2.078 60' with similar car and combo (XYGT,393, toppie, 3.25s) which I thought was equally as good a effort.
I bet he will be keen to know what the secret/difference is for his silver bullet...

OK...
I take it you want to share because you started the post (if started for bragging rights only thats cool too, definitely something to brag about), but a number of questions have been asked and left unanswered....eg manifold being run (Stefans runs modded cast iron, which would have it limitations) It is very impressive on the limited info available. I presume it is on pump fuel? and naturally aspirated (because if it is on the bottle less impressive in my opinion) It is has made 44 rwhp than Stefan, so I dare say not only does it make more power but it makes it differently because going a "bigger" cam would be useless cosidering your stated 5100rpm over the line. (see Stefan graph below, impressive power curve at peak RPM) I don't recall Stefan weight, but going by your quoted weight with driver wouldn't be "that" significant a difference comparing to other cars/XY's I have seen on the scales. So I have to presume "again" the differences being in suspension set up? because we have both mentioned the different tyres being used. cheers.

It's all about compromises Garrett, the intake, the cam, the heads, the fuel system the pipes I run I'm sure are a limiting factor, in power and torque
The 12.9 I ran was my very first run with the combo, as you say, on my 5 slotters. I fried my clutch the very next run when I fitted radials and ran another 12.9. I'm sure I can probably manage a mid 12 or better on my street tyres at the very least when I take out the Quicksilver car, the only change from the previous driveline will be the clutch. As for Ante's XY, I'm not 100% sure of exact comb but I think it is an airgap and 2Vs. Steve's combos are always improving he certainly does not keep churning out the same engine for every customer. Congratulations Steve and Ante sounds like a great combo. I'll need to pop in and catch-up on the latest. |

This is a 98 octane, pump gas daily driver with no tricks,it has all the standard OEM equipment with the exception of a 36gal tank,a 31 spline upgrade output shaft, detroit locker and 31 spline axles,I have a always had a policy of "NO NITROUS" and this is no exception. On Stefan's power graph there is one small but important mistake which I will endevour to correct, the dyno I use needs to calibrate your road speed to your tacho and wasnt on that run but it has no effect on the net output,Stefans car made that peak number at or below 6000rpm.There is no trick suspension,no tramp rods or Cal tracks,no 90/10 shocks or anything else related to drag set ups! By the way its 49rwhp better not 44rwhp. As for what intake it has its a dual plane aftermarket job with a little TLC. I will make an effort to post the dyno graphs overlaid on top of each other of both these cars at actual road speed to help clears things up. Cheers!

Yeah my bad on 49rwhp :(
Stefan no doubt about improvement in yours and limiting factors, you had clutch issues and this had shifting issues, so time will show if these are overcome. Even sweeter effort for a 2V then. Look forward to photos and the dyno overlay...ah shame that dyno hiccup wasn't mentioned earlier would have saved some "discussion" on another forum.

Garrett, I'm fairly sure I said the dyno graph rpm was calibrated to my tacho in the car, which was out a country mile. We were more concerned at what rpm I need to shift when looking at my tacho rather than the actual engine rpm.
Alot of this probably got lost in the name calling and thread hi-jacking of previous discussions. |

Hi Guys,
Great site you have here, look forward to visiting and posting. I'm the owner of the Rhino XYGT. Attached is the timesheet which shows our best run so far. Not easy leaving the line with a manual, I need more practice as the 60ft and reaction times show. Lots of room for improvement. Look forward to the next street meet. Also would like to thank my good mate Steve from RPM Motorsport on building me an awesome package. Will post some pics of the car shortly. |

These are the two cars both in 3rd gear with same overal diameter tyres,I have used road speed not RPM to overlay them as the RPM's wont allow them to match up correctly.
