Sunday Street Meet provides a relaxed environment for enthusiasts to take it off the street and hit one last PB for the month. With a full day of racing there are no shortage of highlights.
Here are some great performance from last Sunday’s Street Meet at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week Top Holden went to this tough as nails HSV GTS, with as unassuming looks as any HSV vehicle can have, this beast ran a best pass of 10.81 @ 132.0 MPH. Top Ford of the Week Top Ford on the day was this Gold Mustang, A slight change from the cruisers we’ve become accustomed to spotting around town, this mustang meant business, proving the point with a 10.34 @ 127.7 MPH. Top Japanese of the Week The Skyline is a staple in the Japanese tuning diet. Though this R33 had more than just a few overnight parts from japan, pumping out a crazy 10.05 @ 152.2 MPH. Top Rotary of the Week Top Rotary on the day went to this baby blue Mazda RX7, marking the end of an era from the Japanese manufacturer and still looking as if it had just rolled off the showroom floor. Top European of the Week The Mercedes Benz C63 is more and more frequently becoming a common sight down at Sydney Dragway. This European powerhouse is a great mix of looks, sounds and power; stopping the clocks in 12.1 @ 115.28 MPH. Commentators Pick of the Week Taking home commentators pick was this unique Subaru Impreza, trading its boxer burble for V8 rumble courtesy of an LS engine under the hood. Out for the first time in this configuration the LS-preza had a best pass of 12.0 @ 114.1 MPH. Sunday Street Meet is on the last Sunday of each month at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 8:30AM and racing starts at 10:00AM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Sunday Street Meet is Sunday 28th of February 2016.
