Not me, I am going for the fastest Euro Ford though... once my RS2000 gets tubbed and on boost. But that is still an early work in progress.
Chris and I will put something together regarding the whole Escort deal, as most Escorts are aussie built, though the design and heritage make them an integral part of the euro ford culture. Tim |

Yes, most of the Escorts were assembled here from CKD kit, but seeing as most of the parts were made in Europe, it could be argued that they were made in Europe, rather then made in Australia. Either way, if you say they're made here in Australia, or made in Europe, they're fantastic examples of Fords, and something different to Falcons.

Just about all MkI's (Even TwinCams were although they were a CKD kit, the only imported MkI's as far as i know were some VERY early ones and of course the RS2000's) and all MkII's except the few (25 odd) Saarlouis (German) built RS2000's were built/assembled at Homebush in Sydney. I do know of a few MkI's and MkII's that have been privately imported though too. So if yours is British built its a pretty rare one in Australia!

At the moment, you can PM me or fordel, or send an email to tim@eurofordclub.com or chris@eurofordclub.com, including these details: FFName: First Name: Location: Car: including trim level Current Mods: If any Future Plans: If any And some photos! It's always good to see new cars! :monkes: And that's about where things are at the moment. Added our second Focus to the website:
Timmeh2 Timmeh2, a Capri Blue LX Focus. ----------------------------------------------------- Ok, well, I know Chris and myself have discussed the Escort issue before, so how does the rest of the club feel about the Escorts? They are the heritage of the club, along with other European classics like the Capri, and some certainly were made and assembled in Europe, while some were made in Europe but assembled here. I want to hear more opinions, especially from guys who have been in the club for a long time. Tim |

Perhaps! It will be undergoing some major changes, but we'll see what happens.
----------------------------------------------------------------- Two new cars added: Miss_MkI Otherwise known as LuvinmyEB, this beautiful 2 door 1972 Mk I Escort lives in Melbourne. ----------------------------------------------------------------- TimmehRS2000 This car is my four door 1979 RS2000, about to undergo some major modifications and rebuilds during the year, but has already been seen at some car cruises in Newcastle. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'll have to make some changes to the layout of the members pages, adding the Escorts made it evident that the style may need to change, as the cars are becoming less standard units with a few mods. So that will happen soon, with the other changes. If anyone else has any other membership issues or updates, this is the place to bring them up! Regards, Tim |

Hey guys,
Is there a prize for most euro fords owned? Cos i reckon i would be in with a chance at the moment. I currently own Focus ST170 (Dialy driver) Escort MK1 1300 75 (Gold) Escort Twin Cam 70 (Tru Blu) Escort Mexico Replica 73 (White) Escort Sports Sedan 70 (Ford Blue) Escort RS2000 MK1 75 (Vista orange) Escort Mk2 76 Ghia Automatic (Met. Blue) Imagine the storage problems this lot creates. Hopefully one day they will be all stored under one roof. :( PS. 4 of the above cars were at SFS2005. Cheers, GT |

Yeah, and St170's seem to be every where on the road at the moment, though i was looking at the Fiesta St at Ford Broadmedows on Good Friday an if they do release it i could be pursueded to trade up or is that down? Very nice bit of kit.
I have lots of pics, but need to resize them - whats a good size for this forum? And does it matter if the rego is not fuzzed out - can't be bothered doing that. Cheers, GT |
