Default Most funny United Kingdom comedy series.

We've had the poll about the Americana comedy. Now the real comedy, straight from the Queen's Country in the Queen's English and onto our screens.

I've tried to put together a broad spectrum of comedies over the years of television.

I would agree 100%, so many great comedies over the years have come out of the UK....... where do you start,

Fawlty Towers, Benny Hill, The Young Ones, Bottom, On the Buses, Porridge, Open all Hours, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Cowboys, Man about the House, Morcombe and Wise, The Office, The Two Ronnies, George and Mildred, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, Steptoe and Son.......to name but a few that come to mind.

One of the latest ones that has come out in recent times which continue this tradition of very funny British comedies is "The IT Crowd", don't know if you've seen it but it's an absolute scream.

You guys are right, I've missed out on too many Gold comedies. Thanks Ford Forums with your maximum 30 Poll options!

I don't like your 30 maximum options!

Personally Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf are great comedies that heavily enjoy, but alas forgot.

REMEMBER multiple choices are allowed in this Poll of Polls and yes I'm a e-series member.

I couldn't vote for Benny Hill, as some religious guy was there instead.

Red Dwarf and Black Books are my favourites, however One Foot In The Grave was a classic I remember from the early 90's.

I still prefer Aussie comedy however. Long Live IMT and Kingswood Country.

Has Black Book's been mentioned yet? Bill Bailey is a legend.

Red Dwarf
Fawlty Towers
A League of Gentlemen (first couple of seasons)
Father Ted
Blackadder(s)
Brittas Empire
Coupling (first couple of seasons)
Carry On (mainly due to the political incorrectness)
Absolutely Fabulous (Early seasons)

Can you tell I'm an ABC baby?

What about "Love Thy Neighbour" for the political incorrectness,

"couldn't possibly get away with making a show like that these days, everything being so serious and politically correct etc blah blah blah"

Classic show, "Eddie Booth = LEGEND"

My vote goes to Young Ones, pure Ben Elton madness

Close second has to be Blackadder, the series when he was sevant to Prince Regent (Hugh Laurie).
