We bought a new Mazda SP25 about 6 months ago and through the dealer ( I know paid too much) we had the Diamond paint protection pack done.
Pretty happy with it so far, just hose off dirt and chamois, unless it's really bad of course, then some suds.

Last 3 cars Opticoated from new. I don't know that one ceramic coating is better than another but imo is worth every cent.

I have been using CarPro Hyrdo2 Lite on my Mustang since new.
Mist on to a clean wet car and rinse off with a pressure washer a panel at a time. Job done for 2-3 months. Plenty of Youtube videos to show you application and results. $30.00 for a litre will last you 1-2 years for a car.

I discussed this with the authorised bmw repairer in Malaga WA, and they recommended to not waste the effort and money on any paint protection. Normal wash and waxing was the only thing they were doing with all their own vehicles.
The dealer themselves of course highly recommend paint protection... money maker for the dealership |
