FordForums top banner proposal..

Hi,

Just noticed that our beloved Ford forum Banner only have the falcons.

So I cooked up a quick new banner with the popular terri and the ute in it as well.

Guys, Honest opinions on the design... Any chance??

I thought maybe making another banner since the top banner change everytime you refresh the page..

I have this idea of using forum members' cars - voted, from their respective class, as the most deserving one to have their ride in the banner (not allowed to vote themselves)..

but that might spark a few arguements.

HMMMMMM , not bad at all, to be sure one cannot have all popular fords in the picture ie no EA 3.9multi. so the best idea would be to update it from time to time ( well everything else up dates doesn't it???) of course not every model can be in it , just make sure to put the territory in the FRONT,OKAY!!

Very nice. The territory is very popular on this forum so its nice to see one on the banner.

Aaaarrrrggghh, here we go again.

This threads off to the site support area (along with all the similar threads) where it can be debated there, again.

It would be nice to have a Terri displayed slickpencil but your proposal now has only FPV cars. This is a Ford forum not an FPV one

I guess you are right they are FPVs and not Ford.. I thought top of the class would be the way to go, which are FPVs.. Its going to be hard to please everyone, since everyone has different opinions and passionate about their own cars.. eg. One would say Territory Turbo Ghia would be the top of the class for the Territory, but others might say what about NA Territory Ghias.. and so forth.. another issue would be the imports..

I'd be willing to offer my time to design whatever everyone agrees upon that will be the ideal banner to represent as all. Initially, I just thought falcons is a bit one sided.

I like it, but a new Territory has been released and the F6X is dead, so it might age quickly. Here's one of mine from the other recent banner thread, reppin' the Aussie and Euro Fords..

_2: Why only falcons? I didnt notice that the top banner was targeted b4.. I should've checked first.. maybe the moderators could merge this post to the previous..

I saw a couple of facelifted F6X images floating but its just a mock up. I'll update my banner once its officially released.

There's been soo many threads about the banner :P And the other car is a Mondeo not a Falcon.. I think it would be nice if the next banner update included a Euro Ford, not just Aussie built Fords.

There will also be no facelifted F6X, there's only a "new look Territory" which is on Ford's website. F6X was axed..

replaced f6X with the new facelifted Terri..

Well the current banner approved by admin has an FPV as the focus, so whoever said there can't be FPVs is a little mistaken. And while it may be 'Australian' Ford Forums, the discussion is not limited to just Falcon and Territory. I see this place as somewhere for Ford owners to discuss their cars among other things - those cars being the Ford and Ford-derived (FPV) range.. not just the locally built ones, otherwise we wouldn't have specific Euro Fords subforums

Just think, in 2012 the Focus will be built here!

I see no harm to have the Focus up there, even if it is a Euro car. I mean, in its own way, it is unique to Australia considering it shares Australias own 'XR' badge and they have ditched the 'ST'. But in saying that, you could make an argument to put almost any Ford in the banner.

Also, is a banner change actually on the cards, or is this just pointless chatter?

Great design, almost spot on car choice. It just needs a T3 instead of the F6X, and it would be perfect.

Nice job, i like it.

If the banner changes to newer models every few years it stops arguments about which older cars should be on there. We can never please everyone.
