Hi all,
I had a look at this coupe yesterday, After being in storage for a very long time it spent last night outside in the rain, I had a look around the car and it is in amazing condition, No rust and all original metal around the back window and under the parcel shelf, The lower rear quarters have been repaired and the radiator support panel has been replaced, This coupe needs to be bought by a ford enthusiast, This is a sad post because what i have been told the car is destined to sit outside. |

I hate stories like that.
A similar one was a bloke died & left a vintage car to his eldest son - with the caveat that if he sold it, he had to give the money to his younger brother. Of course the son had no desire to even keep the car, so it went into storage for nearly 40 years. Younger brother dies, and it's straight on the market, but then needed another full resto because of the neglect. |

Most people would kill for a shell like this, I know there all restorable but this one has very little rust, I hope it finds a good home. |

This is probably only the second time this car has seen light in the last 25 years,
Just have a look at the sky in the pictures and it spent last night out in the elements. |

Funny you should ask that,
When the guy died they went through his office and threw everything out without really checking or knowing what was there, Guess what they threw out. |

i'm pretty sure that if it has been previously registered and records show that,
then you will be able to register it again. |

If it still has the stamp on the left shock tower then it will be OK to re-register. If it doesn't then as stated, forget it, too hard, drag-car.

I'm afraid if I was the old mate to whom the coupe had been gifted, and I had stored it carefully whilst investing my own time and money into its eventual restoration, there's no way in the wide world it would have left my shed at the behest of someone who decided to change her mind.

then its money some ones in her ear and now she knows it might be worth some thing !
and id put money on it that when she did give it the one storing it she would have thought it wasn't worth anything if it was me pending what was stored at the premises with the shell id be stating prove its part the shell and in till you can it stays here , and while we are at it heres a bill for storage of the shell with the interests as its not been kept up with payment for storage and any prier agreements on storage were with original owner and well you've left it here for the three years since so It was accepted as discarded but if you want it back settle the storage bill first

Hi. Get the friend who stored the car to submit a bill to the estate for "secure storage" and work done to at least the value of the car or ask for the car to be returned as payment for said storage. Cheers MD

the thought came across my mind XR6-FTW,
I even said to my friend that if you here noises outside tonight don't come out, But i could not do that. I made a substantial offer on the car and she refused the offer, My friend did get the storage fees and money back for the parts he put on the car. |

Yes the parts were stored at my friends house and also at the original owners house,
They all went with the car, The car was originally red, brown hounds tooth interior, 5.8, single rail, 9 inch, full instrumentation, padded dash, I was told it was a gxl but not sure and the interior doesn't make any sense to be a gxl. The car had the factory side vents also, (had). |

Everything looks in order there. |
