Piotr had an idea for combined meet with other forums... so we're just gauging people's interest for go-karting at Eastern Creek. Personally I havent been go-karting before so I'm keen to give it a go.
The package we're thinking of is this :- The Mini Gran Prix This is an event for 10 to 20 people over a three hour period. If you have more than 20 people and would like to do this event, please speak to our staff. Sample Itinerary: -Official welcome and registration -Driver training and safety briefing -Warm up -Heat 1 and Heat 2 -Heat 3 and Heat 4 -Grand Final -Presentation of Awards (Select from a wide range of trophies, at additional cost) The Event Cost: $199.00 Per person - Weekends The fine prints - A non-refundable deposit of $500 is to be paid when you make a booking to confirm your time. Final payment is to be made on the day of racing. If you book a certain number of people the deposit will not be refunded if they cancel or do not turn up. You must pay for a minimum number of people including the racing and the catering. If you wish to be invoiced, please notify Eastern Creek customer relations host prior to the event. Bookings shall be made at least 1 month in advance to guarantee the date you wish to hold your event. More infos -- http://easterncreekkarts.com.au/grand-prix.php To prevent people pulling out of the event at the last minute, the $500 non-refundable deposit will be collected before we make booking. The amount of individual deposits will depend on how many people are coming. If there are 10 people racing.. we'll need $50 deposit from each person... if 20 racing... $25. So...? Interested :- -Piotr -Ives -Damo Possible :- -Photn

We usually have a go Karting meet once every few weeks but on a much smaller scale, $200 is a bit much for me so I think I'll give it a miss.

Sean, look up the track at Picton, it's a much better package with faster carts..
Cheers

Picton's slower than the creek, and the karts at the creek are slower than Kembla Grange's. All of these have crap karts compared to the new place at Revesby.

Picton karts aren't a whole lot of fun. They are good, but the track is fairly short and the karts are pretty Gutless.
Kembla karts are insanely fun and the track is great, especially for larger groups. Revesby is as fun as Kembla but 15mins away instead of 60. The karts go harder and the track is alot of fun.

Trick is to lean over and yank the accelerator cable to get the slack out of it Picton is good because you can really lock it up and slide it through the corners..

yep not to mention the kembla karts actually feel fast not like dodgem cars. The track at picton is good because you dont really have to brake so it makes it exciting. but kembla and revesby are one notch ahead. Picton is more comparable to minto and wolli creek.
sliding though..... nothing comes close to kembla. im still waiting for a wet session there

I'd say it's closer to three notches ahead George. Kembla in the wet would be hectic uleh :evil3:
