Doing some digging in the shed today and found this!
My Grandfather used to own a ZH Fairlane a XR or XT Fairmont and a Customline. Im guessing its from one of these. 1) Whats it from if any of these cars? 2) Is it worth anything? Thanks, and mods if this should be moved then work your magic.

i cannot tell by looking at it, but an xr-xt and customline would have had the 1/4 window glass on all four corners, so if it is from one of those three, the zh would be the only choice

you can narrow it down by the date codes in the logo. it was made in the 7th year of some decade. which would line it up with a ZH fairlane as they were made from `76 - `78. ford used pilkington glass in that era as well. and anther thing is it looks the right shape.
i`d think it would fit any of the falcons, fairmonts, fairlanes, or ltd`s of that time. i forget what the spots under the "p" and the "r" refer to. but the dot under the ""n" in "toughened" indicates the 7th year. i copied this from here http://www.classicandperformancecar....car_glass.html If you’re more interested in concours or preserving originality than in competition, it’s useful to know that most car glass is date coded. In the USA, most glass came from Libby Owens Ford (LOF) and is coded with two letters, or two letters and a number, to the right of the LOF shield. The letters signify the month (first) and year the glass was made; the number is the day of the month. Year identifiers from 1963 to 1972 are C G J A Z X V T N Y and month identifiers from Jan to Dec are N X L G J I U T A Y C V. In the UK, most glass on classics came from Triplex and is dated by dots above and below the letters of the logo. The year dot is below (or above) the word TOUGHENED or LAMINATED. The decade isn’t identified, so a dot on the T or L is 1951/’61/’71 etc, on the D is 1959/’69 etc and a dot after the D is 1960 etc.

i was just looking at the markings on my XB and.....
the first dot is under the "H" whish fits it being a `75 model the second dot is under the 2nd "P" = ??? the third dot is under the "A" + ??? ther is also a "T" opposite the "F" at the bottom of the australian standards triangle. i think that the "F" would be for Ford. maybe "T" is for toughened ?? also noticed on mine that on all the RHS glass the markings read correctly from the outside but on the 2 LHS wind ups the markings are back to front so they would read correctly from inside the car.

i seem to remember being told what they all mean several years ago now but cant recall now. i had to do a google to refresh my memory on the year marking but couldnt find the answer to the other 2 dots. they may be the day and month but not sure how to work it out.
