Default Power gain by mounting pod filter

Well i decided to put on a pod filter and see how much power I would get.

I though while I am there I would mount up a hairdryer.

How much is that supercharger worth? will it fit on a Vortech Bracket?

Very nice set up!

I like the strut brace too!

Pod filter. Ricer.....

What fuel system do you currently have 24'ers + 300kpa reg? I'd be quiet careful, 24'ers reach "safe load" (80%DC) on an N/A motor arround 160rwkw, so watch it under boost.

I was looking at this thread last night but it didn't make sense since no pictures were loading up. Stupid dialup!

Set it up to run off homebrew!

Don't know if the bracket will fit a vortec, but with some small mods I am sure it would.
I am running 24Lb injectors with a 300kpa reg + a 1:6 rising rate reg and a bosch 040 fuel pump.
All up the system costed $2000, that is for everything.

Big thanks to EASPRINT, RMYERS, SWOOP, and many others for making it all happen.

Cost me $1500 for the bracket, oil lines, belts, pulleys and the charger. I have seen these blowers alone go for $2000+ on ebay.

Nice work Al! You've done very well for the price.

Until you get some proper EMS I would pull the 24 pounders out and put some stockos in, and adjust the fuel pressure reg to suit.

Those injectors will never let it run right, I've been there and done that.

amen to that sunny !!

the bad luck I had with it was daily driver dying and having to use it in 30deg heat not good at all ,removed it , lunched the engine 2 weeks later
I then fitted AU block it needed to much redesign of kit to get on motor
layed on floor ,bought another car to put on but stopped and thought after 7-8 eseries dev 3,an SVO ,xr6 ,one blown ,one turbo etc etc and power ranges from stock to 200rwkw all broken bits and empty wallet it was time to move on !!!
( enjoying an AU SVO XR8 now low 14's stock and way more to go and if I get power hungry theres a boss 260 manual next to it :P)

good luck with it AL as youll learn alot as I did
