Default What is Orsm Ford Cruisers?

Hi guys and welcome to the Orsm Ford Cruisers.

What, is Orsm Ford Cruisers: What this Club is, is about having fun with other people that have a common interest. And of course that is cars and Family as we have based the club on this, so that the whole family can benefit from the club and it's members/sponsors.

Who is Orsm Ford Cruisers Who we are, well the people who put this club together here in VIC and S.A are all enthusiasts in what ever we do or want to achieve and this is also what we look for in our members.

This club offers a wide variety of events such as: Cruises, Show'n'shines, Weekends away, Drag days, Skid Pan days, Track days, and many more.

Also we have family outings on Friday nights or Saturdays where we would get the whole family involved KIDS included like going Ten-Pin bowling, movies, drive-ins, snow trips, beach trips, adventure parks and many more.

We are looking for new members that have the following Vehicles E series onward to current models falcons.

If you would like to join the club you can just PM myself ORSMXR (Chris) for Vic members or DOC (Pete)for S.A members.

Thanks for your time.

Our current yearly events list has at least 2 events per month! But there are often cruises thrown in last minute. For example we had six cars go for cruise down to Barwon Heads area last Monday. Was an awesome day, 3 GT's, 2 Tyhoons, XR8 and my XR6T. Some interesting scenenary, driving and stops for lunch etc. We go to drag days (not dress ups), cruises including some that last for a few days, deca, car shows, family days etc. I have been a member since December and been on a few meets. Really easy going bunch of people. No clicks, no politics, just there to enjoy cars and club!! Just need at least an E series set of wheels onwards to join. Our meetings are mentioned on forum. If interested come along and say hello.

Sounds awesome. i'll be up for the drags for sure. I'm down there a fair bit anyway but just watching.
I should be getting a ED XR8 fairly soon so i fit in there. Sounds like a great bunch of guys. I have seen ya set-up at a few shows and it was good that every sticks together and helps out (Like the last AFF drag day).
i think i'd miss the meetings tho cause of my work commitments. But by the shounds of it, sounds like a great bunch of people.

How about NT? I was chatting to Chris from Bluepower today and I mentioned there a very few Ford clubs here in Darwin. I've only found 3 so far....a branch of the Mustang club, a branch of the F100/F250 club and a non make specific King Cobra Custom Club, of which I am a member. It basically entitles me to a cheap night at the drags. I said something about starting one and he put me on to you.
I see a pretty good number of BA/BF XR's on the road up here considereing the population, yet I have met only a handful of other owners. I've spoken to four other owners at the drags this year and another 2 I know through work and all have expressed an interest in joining a club if one existed.

I've never been a member of any other type of car club before so....what's involved in organising a chapter of one?

Just the one branch in VIC. We have members from all over VIC. Meetings are not as important as events. Members receive minutes of meetings via email to keep them up to date. Except for me, gremlins seem to steal mine before they arrive............. _

I was thinking about joining when a guy at work told me about the club and that his a member, but when i read the post above ( We are looking for new members that have the following Vehicles E series onward to current models falcons.) im unsure as to whether it's the orsm Ford club or the orsm Falcon club? :
I have the Turbo Ghia Territory, and as there is no Territory club and that i like all fords having owned an XD, EB, and an EF i was looking for somewhere to join as this terry is a pretty awsome Ford and just going to get better.
Just another question, do you have a club sticker for members?

Territory is now included. Laminge is a member, with his ORSM Envy Terry. Next meeting is 12th Sept. And the clubstickers are the same as my avatar. Come along to the meeting, good food and company. You have nothing to lose but a Wednesday night.
Kev.

Well I have the time and at this stage, the inclination so I'm keen to give it a shot. The mrs is ok with it.
Any tips/hint/suggestions/advice on how to go about it would be much appreciated.
