Hey guys, I have a little problem. Was taking my wheels off to clean them properly, backs came off fine, but the front will not budge. The wheel nuts are off, but it aint going nowhere. Why has it done this, and how do I get it off?

Its not uncommon. Try getting a piece of wood and, using it as a buffer on the rim, give it a whack with a hammer to dislodge it.
Same sort of concept as taking off brake rotors.

Leave a couple of wheel nuts on loose make sure car is on stands not jack
kick tyre from behind while rotating wheel |

G,day mate if you havn,t got it off allready DONT use a hammer . Go to bunnings and get a rubber mallet about $5 whack tyre from outside crisscross ,then from back while rotating wheel 1/4 segments, faced with this problem every day and mostly holdens, Dont forget to spray center of hub with wd40 or similar before you put wheels back on.They will be easier to remove next time ....

My passenger side front sticks everytime I take it off , i just keep hitting it side to side and wriggle the crap out of it and it eventually free's up

Thanks guys, I got ****ed and ended up just putting the wheel nuts back on, and leaving it.
I will do it on the weekend though.

Another vote here for the mallet, and the WD40 or equivalent! If you give it a good spray and let it soak for a while, that'll help heaps I'd reckon. All the best with it. GK

What's wrong with muscles? Never had a wheel I couldn't remove with arm power. You guys all need to eat more vegemite! :-)
But WD40 and/or rubber mallet would work.

better than WD40 is a bit of diesel it gets in better than anything i have ever used great for pliers etc too that have become stiff

Nothing beats belting the crap out of rims with a rubber or nylon mallet when you just feel the need to hit something, hard and repeatedly.
Except for cutting holes in quarter-panels with a hole saw. |

just remember that using a rubber mallet on most things is good
just dont use it on the missus  : : :
