Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week Our Holden for the week is this tough HQ Premier. The badge indicates it might be Chev-powered but whatever it runs under the hood, the matt black muscle car got up on its rear legs and went for a stunning 11.9 @111MPH run down the straight. Top Ford of the Week We find that when the classics are out to play, they all bring their mates! This pro-street spec Ford Cortina sounded beastly and with an entrant number ending in 666, this devil in disguise fired up for a very quick 9.7sec ET! Top Japanese of the Week How could we go past the humble Honda Civic as this week’s Japanese pick? This B20-swapped EK Civic looked great and sounded tough. Clocking in a 14.5 @ 96MPH run, this would be a zippy little hatch to punt around! Top Rotary of the Week This RX4 was simply schmick! One of the cleanest examples we’ve seen, it was a pleasure to listen to and watch, the distinct turbo rotary noise buzzing down the quarter for a 13.2 @114MPH. Top Euro of the Week We love seeing P-platers out on the track and taking their cars for a run in a safe and legal environment. This E46 BMW 3-Series was a first-timer at the drags and managed to pull a great time of 16.1 @ 88MPH. Commentators Pick of the Week You’ve probably seen these cars out before on a Wednesday night. No stranger to the dragway, this Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from the Illuminated Badges boys cranked out a 12.83 @ 104MPH. Awesome time for such a big SUV! Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race4Real is this Wednesday 15th of July 2015. See you there! LINKS Sydney Dragway Website Sydney Dragway Facebook Race4Real Facebook |
