For those of you who are not donating members.
A decision has been made by donating members to donate to the SA & VIC fire victims. To do so,For those that don't know, the AFF bank account is as follows: Fordforums Australia BSB: 013354 Acc: 497467086. And Make note:Username for Fire Blaze. So PLEASE make the effort,if all AFF members donated,it would be a substantial amount and would go a long way to helping out, those less fortunate and hopefully help people to rebuild there lives.

Thanks! But, being a total dunce (and still not being taken to a specific page by the link) do I use the "Send Money" page? If so, is it for family/friends?

great work guys and girls even a dollar counts as something
just spoke to mate in the middle of it said he is doing fine spirits are up still putting out spot fires on properties here and there doing runs around to neighbouring properties that are decent in size to check on animals etc he's been doing a few runs on the back of the ute chucking out hay etc theyve managed to get a **** load of hay from Clare (its about two hrs away tho) just trying to organize a truck to go and get it said the community help has been amazing butchers donating food for cfs etc feed for dogs cats horses cows etc great to hear i still cant get in to give him a hand which is doing my head in but the road closure to non residents is there for a reason so while its frustrating i understand the reasoning least hope they get it under control and the hot windy weather coming has no effect he still has a sense of humor, told me theres **** loads of wood about

great work to everyone who has donated
i went out and saw the area of Kersbrook today with a friend who lives there wow not good we know of worse areas but for safety reasons (and to not get in the way of people working ) we didnt go to these areas ive got a heap of photos so when i get some time ill post them up and people can see what the mess looks like still cfs everywhere cutting unsafe trees down etc saw houses surround by black grass and trees but the fire stops at the fence line around the property these people either stayed and fought the blaze with hoses or the water bombers got in there and helped them the co ordination of these planes communicating with the ground must be first class, so many houses saved by water bombing planes what a great job the cfs the pilots the communication crews the coppers and local farmers and people with utes and genies on the back have done community spirit is alive and well and everyone is helping everyone im sure its the same north up further and south down near cudlee creek communitites rallying together saw my friends mates place who lost his caravan trailer and later model camero had a poly tank and top looks like a melted candle house was saved tho drove past an older couple out the front of their house cleaning up with some workers, shed still standing, house totally gutted heartbreaking, and im sure there is pletny more like this as 38 houses have been lost, im sure it will be the same as the one down in vic near the sa vic border the AFF donation will certainly go to good use going to BlazeAid great work guys and girls

Well done to everyone who has donated so far. It is a great cause and the target has nearly been reached but do not let that stop you from giving. Every bit helps! I know with Christmas just finishing everyone is tight on cash, but the monies will go to people who really need it at this time.
Cheers Col

A great idea and a worthy cause that I was happy to contribute to.
Whilst I was not personally impacted, I know Blaze Aid did a wonderful job down this neck of the woods following the Black Saturday fires that ravaged the central Gippsland area in 2009. Several of my work colleagues lost their homes in those fires, whilst several more only had their houses saved because a water-bomber dumped a load of water just in the nick of time. Anyway, Blaze Aid helped with a lot of those 'secondary' things like fencing and emotional support. I know several people who thought there was no way they could have it through all of this without the assistance of Blaze Aid. So, I hope all of the donations made by the AFF members can go a little way in helping deliver the same services to those currently impacted in both SA and Vic. Craig H
