Default warning buzzer

Hi guys

Does anyone know how to turn the warning buzzer up and down (beeps when lights are left on, also when fuel is low). Mine is so quiet and cant even hear it.

Was just wondering if there was a way?

thanx

Jason

If you could change when it beeps(eg at 40kms left instead of 80) for a low fuel warning, i'd be interested.

It should beep at 80 and 40 km left on DTE, mine does at least.

Mine beeps at 80, 40 and 20. Strangely enough it doesnt beep at 0.
Twice I've had the car DTE to 0 and kept driving (while getting seriously religious praying for a petrol station). Both times I made it!! I actualy drove for about 8-10kms with a DTE reading of 0... it didnt go negative :.

The only time I ever ran out of fuel the DTE read 63kms... Funny, I no longer trust the DTE, I look at the guage itself, far more reliable.

Same. I hate it.

You can safely run the car at 0 DTE for a bit. I cringe as I hate having to go past a quarter of a tank....

I have got close ... but on a dedicated LPG system ... I REALLY don't want to run out of gas ... can't just syphon gas into a car on the side of the road really.

I get mine to beep on DTE 0 ... when the bloody fuel sender chucks a wobbly ... hasn't done it for a while now though.

Mine beeps on 80, 60, 40 and 20 ... and on 0 too.

I don't trust the guage or the DTE (had an issue where the guage would ready dead empty after I had filled the car with gas ... I go on km's travelled most of the time.

I'll trust the gauge when I replace my tank senders eventually.

On another note ... mine said I had a DTE of 700km ... even after having done 450km since I filled up ... YEAH RIGHT.

Does it ever flip between zero and "fuller than full" ? My EL used to do that sometimes when I'd filled it up. I assumed that the instrument computer decided the sender was out of range (like a short circuit) so it dropped the gauge to zero as a primitive indication of something wrong.

On my AU the gauge almost needs an extra marking when I fill it up, it goes that far past full. :hihi:

My DTE gauge reads 564 when the tanks full but doesn't even last 280km thru the city!

Highway isn't much better
