Default 19"x8.5" EB GT wheels Soon Maybe

Hi Gents, We are looking at the possibility of manufactering exact copies of the EB GT wheel in 19x8.5" in the same colour. Maybe also an 18". What we are interested in is the type of interest there would be for this wheel. It is a very exspensive job and they would be manufactered in Australia so good quality. They would probably be a once off run of 125 sets. What do you guys think.

I think Its a great idea but ultimately the success of it is going to come down to the price of the set of wheels..

Any idea how much a set will be ball park??

Cheers,
Nik

Can anyone do a photoshop of them in the larger size? To get a rough idea of what they would look like?

Eaturbo, I will leave this thread as is so you can gauge interest. As soon as this turns into a goer I would ask that you read THIS THREAD and follow the procedure so the buy can go ahead without a problem ;)

Thanks and duely noted, this is the kind of forum moderation i would expect and I don't expect to advertise commercially for free. I am a private non business person who has an idea to help others. I am currently looking at reducing the number to 75 sets due to the huge outlay. Closing these threads only hurts the members not me as if there is not the interest than it stops here and now. These could be very rare if i only ever do 75 sets in total, Thanks Shane

If the outlay is huge then you should be increasing the number of wheels you make, not decreasing it. The more sets you make, the more chance you have of recovering the initial investment.

Out of curiosity, who's making the casting tool & what sort of ball park figure are you looking at?

And another thing would be to work out the best way of stretching the wheels out 2 inches.

Could be done by starting the spokes thicker first, then tapering out to the rim, or could be done by increasing the diameter of the center hub area, or by doing a bit of both.

Do the EL GTs in 19 you will get shite loads more buyers. I would've loved to change my 17s to 19s. You see heaps of people asking for EL GT copies and originals. How many do you see looking for EB GT mags?

We are still looking at doing something but it is alot more involved than first thought. I like the look of the EB wheels more than the EL's but i will wait and see.
