Default My Wife's Fairmont Ghia

Just recently I've been considering selling the Fairmont Ghia (it's an EL with Tickford stuff for those who don't know).
The car onl has 130,000k's on it and is in superb condition, Ignition will support me in that statement. I just don't know if I'll get enough money for it, for it to be worth it. I payed $10,000 for it a year ago with 118,000k's on it.

I know the Victorian members are gonna say $5000 or what ever but in QLD they seem to be worth a bit more. Anyway I though I'd come to my fellow E-Series members for opinions on what it's worth now.

I don't know, with those k's you should get around the $7k mark I would have thought. It looks great from here anyway.

I'd pay up to 9k. Those kilometers are pretty low and it's one of my favourite colours.

I dont know about that, If anything I've noticed that cars are always more expensive in Vic than anywhere else in the country. It is common practice for dealers down here to buy NSW and QLD cars to sell here with a nice profit.

Looks like a really nice car, and I think 7-8 is more than reasonable given the low kilometers and the excellent condition.

Thanks guys, that's good to here.
Next question: Does anyone want to buy it?

Tibbo we now live in that new two story white brick place about 300m west of the Stafford rd-Applby rd intersection. I see you driving past in the arvo while I'm sitting on the balcony having and arvo ciggy. The AU still looks shmick as ever.

I have the same car and and looking around they are around the 8-9k mark, yours has the bonus of low k's but for peple that know about e series they will definately ask you "has the head been done"! I would be asking in your case high 8's to low 9's.

I dont think you are going to have any hassles selling it.

I would have thought it'd be more expensive in Victoria champ, there is more call for them down here than in Queensland... and I should know, I couldn't find an ultimate EL up there.... but I ended up with mine which was the best I could find

yeah itd be worth a bit to someone. someone who was looking for one. We found one in good condition and were happy to pay 8 for it about 4mnths ago. It had only 150000 on it to. The kays on yours will be a big selling point, aswell as the electrics all working fine _2:

Na man it's a Tickford 6.
Thanks for all the comments guys but I think I'll keep it. I doubt I'd find another one in this condition again if I regret selling, like I did with my cortina.

depends on the market and as you know a cars only worth what someones willing to pay for it

my guess is 6-8K

i could of bought a V8 same colour 5 weeks ago and was in a car yard for 3800 and the I6 model was only 2700 but as yours looks in prestige condition its def worth 75% of what you paid for it.

good luck with whatever you decide

Why selling BT? If you're not in a hurry, put on 10 and see if you get any nibbles.

Not seling. I was just thinking about it earlier and wondering what sort of interest would be around.
Keeping it now, it's too good to let go.

Good move, especially for the kind of figures being thrown around! You did however get some fairly consistent idea of what people think it's worth.
