ED Sprint should be listed as 15.0 - faster then the EBII S-XR6.

Wow, can't believe how crappy those 1/4 mile times are for all those 'supercars'.
America had all the fastest muscle cars, I remember reading somewhere there were 3 muscle cars from 1969 -1975 that ran 10 second 1/4 miles from the factory stock. My near stock EF Futura (intake, exhaust) Manual ran a 15.7 1/4 which makes it just as fast as a Monaro HQ 350 GTS back in its prime. Pretty embarrassing. |

Actually the Plymouth Road Runner had 440ci and weighed only around 3400lbs and could do the quarter in 13.5 secs.

Hey guys I found it.
Check this out: http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/fast.htm 1968 Plymouth S/S Barracuda - 10.5 1968 Dodge S/S Hemi Dart - 10.5 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 10.6 Seems like a credible source. But I'll leave the opinions up to you. Theres my proof. |

http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/FAP...SBarracuda.htm That's the 'cuda out. Race-prepped car that wasn't done by Chrysler. Next up... Dart... http://www.thehemi.com/notable.php?id=002 S/S (Super Stock) Dart. Not a production street car. Finally... that Stingray... http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/FAPC/ZL1Corvette.htm The closest to being credible in any way, with a total production number of 2, is null and void of production car status (100+). Like I said, no production muscle car ever did a 10.

i think we should remember these cars were built as circuit cars not DRAG cars, with a few minor tweaks they easily bettered those factory times..

Its a bit out of date... but a general guide. Nothing ran 10s. Ever. Stock in that era.
