I am looking for information about the S pack TE Model Cortina's, and I am also looking to purchase one in the future should I find the right vehicle.
Looking for options, features, photos, information, references, links, brochures, advertisements, did I mention photos......anything at all. Please keep it TE related, and do not confuse it with the TF 'x' pack, different vehicle similar idea though. I used to have one and loved it to bits, till one day the missus was driving it to work and decided she needed a new hood ornament and she ran into the back of another car causing minor damage. This how ever made me lose interest in the car at the time, and I sold it off. Would be happy to buy it back if it was still around somewhere, saw it driving in Liverpool Sydney about 3 years ago. Here are some photos of the one I had with the damage

haha, great to see my old daily driver is famous and has gone to a good home :noteworthy
Well if anyone knows of another one for sale let me know, or if the new owner is sick of this one I will take it off his hands, but would love a red one next time round. Thanks for the above info much appreciated, there is always someone out there who knows something

Probably easier to find unicorns XB. I have only ever encountered one in Melbourne and it was knackered. I have never seen another one since at any of the shows I have been to in the last 20 odd years.
If you are after a mint TE though, I know where you can get on of those ;-) |

Does anyone know if the owner did a resto on my old Cortina. Still happy to buy it back if it is out there. Or anyone else have one for sale.....

I doubt that it has been restored. The owner used to be the President of the Small Ford Car Club & I havent seen him around in a couple of years so not sure what state the car is in, but hes not the kind of guy that gets rid of stuff.

Have heard the same thing, apparently he is a bit of a hoarder....so he probably still has the car I guess.
May be some cash $$$$ will convince him to sell Should have never sold the car in the first place, just did not have any room at the time to park it up, if I had the space I would have just parked it up in a shed and left it there till I had time to fix it up a bit.

this one was on eBay a while ago, although he doesn't say its a s pack it is, as the I.d. plate matches the number on the dash, I'm guess he may not know it's a s pack or how limited they were in the te. Unfortunately it has had the 6 replaced with a 4cyl Turbo 1zj whatever that is . Didn't go off so he may still have it. edit. I just went to description and looks like someone told him after I seen it on eBay last. Last edited by winton; 20-02-2013 at 10:05 PM. |

Can't believe you sold it.
I'd like to find an clean TE again ... my parents had a 6GL 4-speed manual X-pack in Silver with the silver vinyl roof that was in mint condition. Growing up as a kid I loved that car .. road trip holidays as a kid ... fond memories. I have trawled carsales and there's bugger all TE's out there that haven't been molested ... or in any decent condition ... and then finding a 4.1L manual is harder again. If i can find a good one ... I'd love to get one as a side project.

Should probably drop in here more often, wonder how much that one went for.
Still in the market if I find one.
