Default Does your car feel fast compared to 1/4?

Just wondering ..what 1/4 miles people have run and if their cars actually feels fast or slow? Does it give you a rush or not?

Its not the rush from the run, but when you apply the brakes and turn into the ring road that gets my pulse up.. Even at a measly 15 flat, slowing from 93mph is deceptively fast to make a 180 degree turn

My car doesn't feel especially fast (except when the air si cold) but its more when you changed into third and the ole Turbo just doesn't let up, you can run out of 4th gear quick enough to take you by suprise.

It doesn't feel fast, but it just doesn't stop accelarating, thats the difference, its not brutal, it just doesn't let up!

5th gears suck though, its crap over 200kmh.

I have raced once only on the strip and ran a 12.47@111mph. On the strip it feels like a Sunday drive, but on the street, it feels awsome. With street tyres, its spins 1st and most of second and before you know it, you are on the brakes real hard. It feels WAY stronger on the street, as there are no slicks to pull the motor down.

I don't know it does feel a bit quick I guess, Quick compared to stock. But compared to actual fast cars its pretty slow.

My car feels fast compared to the best 1/4 it's run, mainly coz I couldn't get any traction on the strip and ran a dismal 15.3. But no, it doesn't feel that fast hence why it will be upgraded further

You've got your chance to improve on that 20 second 1/4 mile ET tomorrow Mel and I'll be damned if you don't beat it!

I remember one day racing my old drag car which was pretty damn loud. On the way home we were sitting at the lights in the tow car and I went to turn the ignition on thinking it was turned off cos the tow car was so quiet compared to the drag car.

I always thought my previous v8's felt faster even when they might not have been compared to my 6.

I prob reckon my car feels quicker on the road than at the strip.

my car feels so fast on the street..
even little braps off the the lights against something (that by rights should leave me wondering which way they went), that i actually keep up with, hold off and sometimes beat.. then get to the track and run a 14.9!?!?!

Would you call a 14.9 sec pass quick?
feels like forever belting down the straight.. especially 3rd, can just about make a cup of tea before that gear tops out lol..

I've done a best of 12.7 in my Clevo cortina. It feels fast after driving the SS(14.6 no headlight), but then when your dialled in at 12.7 and the monaro next to you has dialled a 10.3, watching him come at you from behind is quite a sight! and then you think i have to go faster so you fit a couple of garrett's.
