There's a Prius forum? FFS, someone should send a link to Topgear ASAP!
Without reading any of the other threads there, I'd have to assume that Rodgers comments would be the most interesting out of everything ever posted there. |

hahaha, who do those prius people think they are fooling?? They have spent 40 thousand dollars to buy an "economical" car, when they could have spent 15 grand on a hyundai with comparable fuel consumption figures!! And the environmental cost of producing a hybrid isnt even offset until the car clocks up 20,000 kms, which makes the hyundai an even better choice for the environment. I mean its total stupidity, I wonder whether they are just trying to make a statement, firstly that they are environmentally conscious, and secondly that they have too much money and not enough common sense.
Luckily for me I care little for the environment or fuel consumption figures. Give me performance and driver satisfaction any day. Also lads for a bit of humour check out Jeremy Clarkson do the Prius on youtube, its gold. Coming from the bloke who said that "driving a corolla is like eating flour", GOLD!! |

one of the modification threads is about mudflaps and what to do with a screw ...says it all really
http://priuschat.com/Rear-mud-flaps-...ew-t38097.html The whole point of a prius is to be kinder for the environment - but overall they have a higher impact on the environment than a normal car.... oh the irony

Think South Park and the Pious episode where they have huge smug clouds.
Then think of the community of Pious owners. A VW Golf gets better fuel economy, actually, on the freeway the BF's get better fuel economy than the pious, and in much more style too. The environmental cost of the manufacture and later disposal of the batteries is right up there with the spent nuclear emmissions, but these green loving weirdo's haven't figured it out yet.

Yeah, was deleted very quickly and my account was suspended within minutes.
Quick rundown, my username was "TheV8(insert c word)" without the editing of course, and me basically saying how hybrids suck compared to v8's Probably not the funniest thing I've ever done online but it was laughable after a few drinks between a mate who was watching me do it and myself.

How cool A forum for Prius cars. I tried to look at their gallery. I wanted to see whether prius owners were into big rims, kits, turbo's or superchargers. Now I ave to register. I hope I see some with Cobra Stripes. Now that would be cool.

"I have recently installed racing hubcaps and I would like to say I am very pleased. Not only do they look good they also improved my fuel mileage by about 2 mpg! I have ran the hubcaps for one tank so far but I think I have seen an improvement. Before I put them on my average was about 55mpg. After I put them on My millage went up to 57mpg. I finished off my tank today with 59.0mpg on the screen! Of course the temp has been in the 60s the past week but I seen the increase in 40 degree weather when my normal mileage would have been around 55mpg. When I got home from the gas station I looked at my screen and saw 74.3mpg!!! I love the warm temperatures! I cant wait for 80-100 degree heat! I bought the hubcaps from Hubcap Mike. I bought the screw on type because the pop on type will not work on the stock prius wheels. Instead of drilling the wheels like the instructions said to do I decided to make things a lot easier by installing them on to the trim rings. This makes it a lot easier to pop them off encase you need to replace a flat or check your tire pressure. All I did was drill some holes and installed some pop rivets. The stock caps come pre drilled with 3 holes. I suggest drilling 3 more. All the holes will line up perfectly with the flat spots on the trim ring. Make sure when drilling the new holes you make your hole as far away from the outside as possible because you don't want the rivets to rest against the rim of the wheel. When everything is done your car should look like the pictures below. I installed mud guards today and from the looks of it they wont effect my fuel millage at all. The hubcaps stick out enough to push the air around the mud guards.
