Before I get hated on. A friend of mine decided my car needed a name and so she decided my car (Silver BA Fairlane) looked like a "Susan"... and it stuck! So my mighty ford is now a Susan in the eyes of all my friends
So I thought I'd see if any of your cars have been named over the years. Come on, surely some of you have taken guilty pleasure in naming your car |

I’ve never been inventive enough to name my cars but when I was a youngster my old man had a dark green Morris he called Grasshopper.

Back in '83, family bought Mitsi scorpion. Number plates were ANN xxx. Until last year. dear old Annie served with utmost distinction having never been unreliable in her 35 years of service. She always has a place in my heart.
Then before her, there was Katie, Renault 16, reg ktc 739. Also Cressie, Toyota cressida. My old 82 XE was known as sponge Bob. It was yellow. If you love your cars, they will always have names no matter how good or bad they are. Mechanical pets for a better term. |

Every ute I've owned was called "Tilly" - an Aussie bastardisation of "utility", and short for "Matilda", very befitting for an Aussie invention.
Never really named any other cars or bikes I've owned, as mentioned in the previous posts - I've called them some very nasty names at times. Cheers!

We call ours the Red Car, the White Car and the Blue Car. As in "which car are we going in today dear...?" I figured it's the easiest way to answer that question

I used to own an EL wagon we called Pete, the origins of his name are in quite poor taste really. He was named after Peter Falconio (apologies if that offends anyone), we have a warped sense of humor in my family. My mum currently drives a Hyundai Sonata she calls Frank, as in Frank Sinatra/Sonata it's a rhyming slang thing. Myself I own a Monaro my wife calls Marilyn, as in Marilyn Monroe, I'm ok with that.

My old xf ute was called 'Hoover', because it sucked up the money. The missus calls her corolla 'Connie' cause its a conquest model. She also called my old subie 'Ruby' due to its colour scheme. The BA is yet to find a fitting name.

Last few cars have not had names. However I had a green EF I called Henry and he was succeeded by a regency AU called Edsel I purchased new. I miss Edsel but I still get to see him as I sold him to my sister-in-law; however he is nowhere near as pampered or cared for as when I owned him.

hmmm... I have owned Camelot (xd with a big cam), Kermie for a dark green car, Spotty for a white car that was bought cheaply due to black spotty fallout on the paintwork at the factory, and my current xb is Jolene (long story) and other family cars have been The Yella Terra, (bright yellow) Goldilocks (gold xd) and Miss Sunshiny (another yellow...) The mazda Tribute is just called The Tragic. Another car is called Mickey Mouse. Even had a Suzie Maroony at one stage.
