Which ones are better?
Would like some good top end but i still need the low down torque, so would it be better for me to get the normal ones and not the comp headers? or go for the comps? edit - its a XR6 HP

Comps, no question.

The 4480s/Comps, are a tuned header, which also have longer secondaries. They should provide better top end, but won't be as good in the low down. The longer secondaries, help the low down, so it won't be as sluggish down there.
The 4499s are good for the low down. The 4480s are the go for an overall improvement. Is your XR6 a VCT? If it is, you may find problems with the Pacemaker extractors. Have you checked out JMM Headers or Herrod Motorsport headers? I think JMM have the design down pact, and you'll find the most gains there.

For XR6 HP go pacemakeer 4480 they worked for me with good power gains low down from 2000-3000rpm and then somewhat smaller as the BBM kicks in and works well then at BBM switch to short run 3800rpm it shows big gains in the top end.
Before and after dyno runs in my gallery here. http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1 |

Cut the secondaries and get the muffler place to weld extensions on them 60-90 cms longer than the factory.I think they will then throw you back in your seat.
