Yabbies - might be iffy given the recent drought, but big farm dams are good!
Fish - tonnes of good spots along the coast, have a squizz at fishvictoria.com

For yabbies ask a friendly bloke with a full dam, preferably not one used much by cattle, usually those ones are crawling with them
As for fish try around the bay for saltwater- the warmies at Williamstown, Kerford, St.Kilda, Mornington Piers, Kilcunda Beach, freshwater try one of the stocked dams. Get a fishing license too if you get caught there are hefty fines |

I promise I'm not taking the pearse with this but if you're taking the little bloke out or something along those lines, try a trout farm http://members.ozemail.com.au/~geh/trout.htm
Guaranteed to catch a fish within moments of wetting the line. |
