Default Quick question about the red back exhaust systems

Ok, so before i go out and buy myself the 2.5" Cat Back Exhaust for the AU i have one question, the rear muffler, how much of a noise difference does it have on the car, and would you people recommend getting it with or without? the cars a 6cyl Manual

I wouldn't get the Redback without the rear resonator. A system without it has been found many times to drone lots.

I have two AUs with Redback systems, both with the resonator and they sound good and deep. If you're a hoony kind of person who goes "cool" when a very loud Harley goes by and nearly deafens everyone on the street, then you'd probably go without it! LOL!

All the best with your decision.

IMHO the redback exhaust is better. I have had 2 redback exhausts, one with and without the rear resonator. It still sounds great with the rear resonator, and i would recommend it.

Also remember don't get put off by the initial note of the exhaust, they get louder as they get older

I have a Redback 2 1/2" catback with one straight through muffler and was told by Racecraft it drones too much.

I don't mind it at all.

I personally have had one Lukey and one no name, the Lukey was such a nice sound, so smooth and deep, and gurggly, lol.
But now, I have 3 inch with no res and one straight through rear muffler. Power seems good, and it only drones the slightest little bit at 80, but not at 60 or 100. I can actually barely here it at 100 with the windows down and radio off.
And to be honest, its not that loud, until you get up it. If you drive sensibly, its not overbearing at all, although I miss the sound of the Lukey still.

I have a reback with a hotdog... Very happy with it... It's loud, but not "wet fart" loud like my brother's Integra! :P
