Default October Motor Mag - VE Wagon, Maloo, FPV Cobra and F6 Territory at SMS.

Hits the streets next Wed just before SMS, has coverage of the new vehicles, some lucky subscribers have already received and have posted the following. Thanks to multiple people on LS1 (you know who you are).

Official pics. The 'concept' is also running on E85 biofuel. The pics are of the Calais V version (minus the 20" show wheels). The mag also has first official pics of the new Maloo (full spread). It does have those new rear lights that were shown in another thread recently. The magazine doesn't hit newsstands until next Wednesday, the day before the show starts so the official announcements would probably happen before that. Lucky subscribers get the details early. The magazine also confirms the FPV Cobra and F6 Territory, both to be revealed at the show.

Wagon rear doesn't look as good as I thought it would. Still looks pretty good, but like a lot of VEs, it looks awkward from some angles. Rear tail-light cluster looks terrible. Fords Four-Door Panelvan has a fighting chance yet!

I think that looks quite classy and better than the sedan.

When I told a Holden fan that the next wagon was gonna look more like my Saab Sportcombi he virtually laughed in my face....

I have to send him some comparison images now.

Agreed - better than the sedan. BUT Although it does have some classy surfacing, I still don't like the proportioning or how the rear pillar is done. Just my opinion (I think the best looking wagons ever are the Liberty ones).

A man with good taste. I'm still not a fan of the VE in any shape or form and it's not just because it's a Holden.

Actually looking at that again, the c pillar is pretty crap. The slanted pillar with the door is fine, but whats with the straight one? :togo:

Looks great, being GM I thought something like the 9-3 Sportwagon would have looked cool as well (IMO). More details on the terry please :

http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Ar...eID=44137&vf=2

It's official: FPV will unveil a high-performance version of the Ford Territory at the Sydney motor show next week. The FPV F6 X will be the first non-Falcon model to hit Ford Performance Vehicle's showrooms when it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2008.

But FPV's thunder has been stolen by an overly enthusiastic Australian car magazine, which was supplied details by FPV under a strict embargo. The magazine, whcih gave a written undertaking not to publish the information until the day after the Sydney motor show opens on Friday 12th October, arrived in subscribers' letterboxes as early as Thursday 4th October – more than a week early.

The FPV F6 X has been a hot topic of speculation at Drive.com.au ever since the Territory launched in 2004. It is based on an all-wheel-drive version of the Ford Territory Turbo, and gets a significant power boost in the form of the 270kW/550Nm turbocharged six-cylinder engine also found in the FPV F6 Typhoon sedan and F6 Tornado ute.

According to the information leaked in the magazine report, the six-speed-automatic-only F6 X should be capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in about six seconds. This kind of straightline performance puts it on par with more expensive, high-performance 4WD wagons from Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

See drive for the rest of the artical.

Sweet. Would have been nice if the front looked like the R7 but oh well. Should be a nice car for the partners of F6 and GT owners.

That F6 X front reminds me of the Forester GT to a slight degree.

I thought the F6 X was only suppose to have 18's as well due to development problems with Stability Control, hence only having 18's!!! They definately look like 19's!!!

Ew, that F6X looks terrible. Damn, poor effort by FPV i'm not a fan at all. And seriously, all this time under wraps and they still use the 270kW engine... where's a more powerful version... should have made it 289 to go with the 302 cobra...

you need your eyes tested. its just the terry turbo front with some blackouts and it looks pretty damn good. the terry is already an attractive car to begin with.

as for your nonsense claim about more power, really, grow up. orion is a few months away, why completely sacrifice resale by having 2 engine upgrades and a new falcon in a 6 month period.

i wish the bag ford fanboys would grow up a bit.

How am I a Ford fanboy?
The blackouts look cheap, and it shows FPV have put all of about 10 minutes thought into the exterior of the car. It has no clear link to the other fpvs. Where's the unique fpv bodykit for the Territory. The problem with the Territory turbo is there is nothing aggressive about it bar the bonnet scoop, you can't even tell it's a performance SUV unless you see it from the front.
That F6X looks like what the Territory Turbo should, it just looks like a ford (like that XR6 Aggressor) not a performance arm model. And yes, the territory was a great looking car back in 2004. Getting a bit long in the tooth now - and is just looking boring - i would suggest you're the fanboy that loves anything as long as it wears a blue oval.
And what's wrong with a power upgrade in a car that's not a Falcon. The Territory will not get a serious upgrade for a long time, so what's wrong with a bit more power in a car that's heavier than the engine's donor car?
