The wrecker is dreaming. I sold my last diff centre for $50 and that was a 3.54. The 3.77s are the most common, so I'd give you $100 tops for it. You might get more for it on ebay, as there are a lot of "green" Escort owners on there. Most Escort stalwarts are looking to convert their diffs to stronger units like Hilux or Courier diffs. The 4.1s are still popular with the racing boys and fetch good money but most of them are long gone.

im sure someone would buy it off you no worries.

cheers

(Also if anyone has a 4.11 diff in tas, im interested)

The 1300 GT and 1300 Autos had 4.125 diffs but only in some years. The vans had the same upto 1977 in the 1300 cars only. The 1600 vans had 3.89s then 3.77s in the later Mk 2s. Most Mk 1s have Borg Warner diffs with 3.89s from memory, but don't quote me on that.

The 4.11s are from Anglias and very, very early Mk 1 Escorts (GTs and some vans). Like I say, most were pillaged years ago by the rally/race boys. I've yet to find one in its original car.....And I've had 9 vans, 2 Mk 1 2drs and countless Mk2 Escorts.
