Default What's this for (on mat)?

Anyone know what the metal shrouded hole in the mat is for?

I've got the same thing on my floor mats... obviously to hook onto something, but what?

They usually come with the mats. Just help in securing the mats to the floor so they don't slide

Sounds like a plan.

Just had a look and my passenger side mat doesn't have the holes and by the look of the mat it needs it more than the drivers side.

Mine are exactley the same. My mats are all bunch up at the top on the passengers side. Fortunate for me, I have a spare set at home, so once I wear through these, I'll have a spare.

Ron,

Aunger have a mat locking kit for about $5 which will do the job for the front mats. It takes 5 minutes to do.

Kmart, Supercheap, Big W etc, etc will have them.

Cheers,

GK

I've had locking plugs in the SR since I bought it, no mat movement at all. Terrific!

The wagon didn't have them, mats going all over the shop, bunching up etc, etc; since I used the locking kit, no worries at all.
