Seems like a fair price to me. How many kms, and what work would need to be done to make it a nice cruiser? What state are you in?

Well, the odo says she has done 580,000. But I replaced the engine about 8,000 kms with one that has done 170,000 and also replaced the gearbox with it.

How much work for a fair cruiser... hrmm... well depending on what you define as fair... Well, I would say to a ford factory standard about 2-3.5k of work (Doing most of the stuff yourself except for body work.)

I was really looking for someone to buy it from here, but hell if your interested Im in NSW.

To be honest the car is only good for either an AMAZING 1st car, or a work-and back kinda thing.

I personally wouldn't recommend you buying it to work on. Trust me. I went through that hassle.

But I like to work on AUs - I've had 5 of them, and while the EL is OK, it's an EL and I miss my AUs. I am certainly interested, especially if you keep it as it is (ie don't strip it).

My Ex wife sold My series one when we split up 2 months ago for 5,500 it was a nice car but had 340k on the clock and a few dints lowered tickford wheels exaust and that was it. I expected 2 for it but got 5,500. Still that red one for 11 would want to be gold plated or something.

Wink

Buy it JC, we want you back in the AU fold. Funny though, even though you sold the XR, it's not like you actually left or anything! LOL!

And if you buy it, surely you've still got some AU bits stockpiled for a round or seven of mods!

Well jc if you are interested just hit me up with a pm.

I dont plan on stripping it, I dont really have the time to, neither the heart (she still has sedimental value). Im gonna leave her as is. Just need to get her outta here for a flat price.

But I just am trying to say is that she still is an ex-taxi and needs that body work.

HLC : sorry mate. As is.
