Mal Wood at Warrick, you wont find people with more knowledge any where. They put a ba turbo clutch, pressure plate and flywheel in my 6.You can really notice the engine spinning up faster with just the lighter ba flywheel, so a true lightened one would be really good.

if the 5 speed is in good condition and running well then go a heavy duty clutch with a ceramic plate. i put a xtreme heavy duty clutch in my gearbox which wasn't in the best condition and it shakes and clunks everytime i use the clutch. but others use the same clutch in the same gearbox and have no problems. i have a xtreme lightened flywheel which is good as it allows the engine to rev up a bit quicker but having a lightened flywheel makes it alot easier to stall the car in normal driving. whatever clutch or flywheel you go its gonna be good having an extra gear and a clutch.

i'd be interested in looking into them. Would it put to much load on the gearbox on take off with 20 inch wheels with the button clutch???

they shockload the driveline, which is bad enough anyway. so, i dont know how much more it would affect it with 20's. Stiddy's seemed fine with 18's though?

Ordered my clutch today. From Ford Race parts America. It's a King Cobra HD has about 40% more pressure then standard apparently and a carbon/copper clutch plate. With lightened billet steel flywheel all up was just under 1100 dollars

It depends how far you plan on going with the engine & how you plan on driving it as you're always better running the lightest clutch you can get away with for the sake of your driveline & drivability.

yeah i decided against the button clutch as it is going in for a flash tune and cam when the manual is in and with the 20's i didnt like the idea of the strain on the drive shafts and the diff. Just went a nice heavy carbon clutch hopefuly will be good
