hey most would know of my au xr manual....it has gotten a really rought idle sounding like its going to stall....when i give it a bootfull i can smell fuel...the exhaust is pretty fuely and build up of black smoke of tip....ata constant idle range the car sort of surges...
car had new ford plugs last week,,, inejctors cleaned at 115000..it has 128000 now...leads changed at 115000 to....could this be fuel pump or mapsensor...reg changed at end of dec.... |

Run the engine and look for leaks at li`nes injectors etc.If not that then your ego sensor sounds cactus and may need changing.

yeh theres no leaks....changed the o2 sensor at 102000

try cleaning the map sensor if you can and go from there i guess

I had the same symptoms when I first bought my AU, which I got fixed under warranty, I am no mechanic, but I was told it was the fuel pressure regulator was not working properly, squirting too much fuel into the injectors.
After that was fixed, that went away, but to this day, my car sucks fuel like crazy when its cold. :-) From what I have read, thats just the warm up routine. Its fine once its warm. Hope that give you some help. |
