1992 Series 6 RX7 with rebuilt motor and hi-flowed turbos, front mount intercooler, turbo back exhaust and larger injectors. After market ECU with conservative tune for out drive-ability...
Body was rough but it was tough as nails. Owner wanted $12,000 because he was going through a nasty divorce. It was his project car, parts and work carried out was more than 15k anyways! Test drove it in the morning, thought about it over lunch was going to rock up with cash after lunch only to be told it was sold within the first 30 minutes of me leaving! Car felt quick and responsive as ! Would munch most things on the street, without getting out of 3rd gear I reckon I could easily end up in the slammer... |

are you looking for something around 10k or under to buy or is it just a hypothetical question.
if you are looking at something to buy, my eb is for sale at the right price. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11215701 it has potential to crack into the high 13's on a perfect day. i would expect nothing less than a very low 14. no drag strip in s.a. so its anyones guess. if its just a hypothetical, i recently came accross a au2xr8 220kw version for $10500. i'd tend to steer away from the modified jap cars if you want reliability. also rotor motor and reliability don't go in the same sentence. even when built properly, 150000kms is high k's. |

Some of the cheap Jap imports that are only available if you have a CAMS L3 license seem incredibly good value for money.
$7300 for a Toyota MR2 Turbo http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...p?StockID=4586 $8200 for a Lancia Integrale http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...p?StockID=4349 $12000 for a 375kW Nissan 180SX http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...p?StockID=4352 Around $10k for old Evo’s and STi’s that can’t be registered here because they were sold in Aus new. Sure you are running a risk with some of them but the prices are so low that I wish I knew this was going to happen before I started on my own race car.
