Default BA GT-P rims on AU

Well, I haven't had a chance to get the tyres swapped over yet and the new rims on, so I thought I'd make do with a photochop for now and see what everyone's thoughts are. I haven't seen any other AU's with these, which I like. I think they were well worth the detour through Orange on the way down here!

Current:

New:

(Real photos to come ASAP)

Incidentally, anyone want some newish BF 18's? No tyres, and I've got 5 of them.

Yeah, I'm kind of torn too actually, I think I'll get them on and drive around for a couple of weeks then decide what to do. It's hard to do them justice with a photochop, but I do really like the BFs still.

I don't mean to steal the thunder of your post Matt but I recently saw an AU with these type wheels on it. I don't know whether the wheels WERE FG wheels but they sure looked good. I wish I could afford to put the on Lucifa but $650.00 each is a bit much.

Seems the popular opinion is the BFs, so I'll hopefully prove you all wrong tomorrow when they go on ;)
Mine are a bit different looking anyway, some crafty devil has painted them a little bit like the FPV Type-R rims, with dark argent in between the spokes, I think it actually looks pretty sweet. I need to find some metal Ford centre caps if they'll fit, I don't think the FPV ones would look right on an AU. Incidentally, the FPV centre caps are a hell of a lot more impressive than the Tickford ones I had on my old TE rims, which were plastic rubbish, whereas the FPV ones are a solid piece of alloy. Very nice.

Hmmm.... All good looking alloys are 5 spoke. So have to say what you currently got is the go. (Well that's my 5 cents worth)

Yes, the dark argent paint improves them out of sight. It'll be interesting to see what they look like when they go on.

They certainly look better with the Dark Argent-style highlighting. The new FG GT-P rims have improved with this as well.

Looks the goods!

Kinda look like BBoss Eleanors now (apart from having too few spokes).

Matt I like the BF rims better - maybe try the black treatment on them?
