Default Focus Ute???

http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Ar...6835&pg=2&vf=0

I guess the only real competition is the Proton Jumbuck? Wonder how well that has been selling?

Then again, the Jumbuck hasn't really changed in several years...

This would need to be engineered VERY cheaply and sold for less than a Focus to sell well however. A tough feat.

It would want to be able to carry a decent load for that price. Hilux FTW!

Seth Afrikaans are huge fans of hot hatches, whereas we arent. They have a long history of buying hot Ford coupes and other hot hatches like the VW GTI and Peugeot 205. We on the other hand didnt buy any until about 5 years ago. Not a bad price too it converts to about $37 grand Australian

Not to mention the V8 capri's of the 70's, meanwhile we only got the V6 as the go fast model.

Completely built here and shipped over. I remember reading somewhere they had a few problems designing it esp the Turbo for the altitude. They also used to get Falcons too until about the AU.

Being an ex seth efrikan, we love small fast hatches as stated above.
large cars have always been for the rich, due to the cost of fuel.

half-ton (that's what they call the F150) - though it can carry over a ton in payload....
Will they call this a 1/10 ton?

Short ton or metric ton?

Half metric ton is 500kg or 1100 pounds
Holden Commodore/Proton Jumbuck

Ton is 1000kg or 2200 pounds
Falcon Ute (1360kg or 2992lbs)
