cheap compared to anyone that I have ever heared of

In Tune Motorsport $1995

Herrod around the 2K (I think I payed $1995 from memory)

DF exhaust also around the 2K

They would be about the only ones worth fitting. All the above will sit around the 4K mark for s full system without tune that is required to run full system without warning lights, so by the time you are done and driving you looking at around 5K

I picked up a Full system from intune for a mate with a BA XR8, and it only cost him $2,000 not to bad priced i thought,
Your prices are pretty expensive prices if you only talking about a cat back system...

I doubt Herrod or DF will be bargaining, if you can get me a Herrod system for under $1000 I will take 3 right now, I have the cash sitting here just PM me with the details of when I can pick them up.

I doubt I will be getting a PM though

Why is it that all the people who know where to get cheap cat back exhausts for V8s all seem to be driving 6 cylinders?

I had JBP parts on my F6, they worked well and were not grossly overpriced.

I suspect that a high percentage of the reason why the company no longer supplies stuff is the punchup JB had with Happy Jack and the subsequent "communications" with FPV dealers.

Your pretty close Flappist similar to what I have heard through the grapevine a while back. Ford didn't like dealers selling an aftermarket product as to who's responsible for warrantys etcetc.....

doesnt matter what car you drive to know prices. the only difference in the Xr6T/F6/XR8/GT catbacks is a Y pipe..atleast on the Ba/bf's and probably the FG's too.. does that constitute $400? lol

FPV GT40 is talking S/S systems not mild. Actually he is probably talking quads at that price since he has a BF GT which has the split system with the twin outlets.

I actually have a Herrod system on my 3V that costs less than $1000, about $600 if I remember correctly. It's only a twin 2.5" mild system though not a s/s quad. It's the s/s ceramic coated headers and s/s cats I had installed at the same time that cost the big bickies.

I think the Herrod s/s dual cost about $1300 at the time with the quad being more again. Difilippo is a little bit cheaper but not a great deal.

Yes, stainless steel Quad cat back system thats what I am talking about, I doubt you will find one anywhere for less than $1600 in the top brands. Like I said In Tune In Sydney Charge $1995 ( was there last week), Lambros charge around the 2K for a quad cat back no negotiations entered into.

I think the prices are expensive, but thats how much it is, may be some of you guys getting $500 systems can get me a set of Herrod Headers with the 3" collector and Cats to match my cat back, as I got Quoted $2200, I am sure some of you bargain hunters can get me one for $500 as well, I'll give you 1K, so you can make a quick profit for yourself, again I doubt I will hear from anyone.

Still waiting on my other 3 systems for under $1000, have not received a PM yet....

It's funny how everyone can always get everything cheap till I want to buy it then there is nothing....

I guess it goes to show you need to do more than just repackage and "brand" existng products with a "popular" name to gain sales...

I don't know of any exhaust upgrade making a hairdryer sound better though they go like stink ! as for a "roar" from a NAI6

4Vman politics killed the JB line not what you posted.

But dont forget about the quality of the products used, it's not all about how loud it is.

I have had cheap systems on my previous car and the mufflers last 2 years before spilling their guts into the exhaust. My Herrod system still runs like new after 2 years and over 40,000kms. Sure it's not the loudest but I am still to get a bad comment on how it sounds. Comments normally centre around about how good and meaty it sounds, not it's lack of volume.

Agreed 100% any butcher can make a car loud, but to make it sound nice takes a bit more effort, I love the sound of the Herrod cat back, money well spend on a quality system that will last the life of the car in most cases.

Looking forward to getting the rest of the system soon....I rather spend on quality than crap thats why I drive a FPV and not a H#V....

BTW loud doesnt equal power.

True, i spose the exhaust he's got would give him far more power gain, compared to mine..

Would have to agree with you there FPV GT40 about the SS Herrod cat back. I had one on the 03T auto and it sounded great $1500 to buy. 2 years later i fitted it to the 05 F6 Manual and it was still in bloody good nick and sounded fantastic with no drone at all.

Sold the F6 this year and the zorst is still in bloody good condition as i took it off to put the car back to standard ( sold back to the dealer ) and i sold the zorst for $300 so after 5 years it still sounded great and made 300 big ones back on it when i took it off.
