I really contemplated this before asking as I am sure it is probably a dumb question.
But, why would anyone buy majority of those wrecks? A couple look like you couldn't salvage much at all if anything?

I thought all blood was supposed to be removed from the cars before they are sold or taken to a wrecking yard? I know the police have a unit that is reponsible for this just in case of infection ie. HIV etc. Or is it because its dry and not liquid.
Wouldn't be a pretty job. |

A good mate of mine has a panel beating shop . Which wrecks like these get towed too quite often to store there till i pressume to go to auction or scraped. My mate took me to a through a few he had allready cleaned out . All i can say the smell is just unbearable no amount a air freshener will kill also just a really weird feeling checking out some car that some one has died in.

That crash show on ch7 showed an accident between a mini, a van and a cab. Blood sprayed all over the van, the interior of the mini was soaked in it and the cab had some on it too - but the driver survived.

ive never seen the photo of the ANCAP FG... but pretty easy to tell thats not it, its registered, or well was... another thing on the FG, In the description it says "complete service history" not hard for a car thats done only 1800ks... i think pictures like that should make us realise just what can happen...

That is why you always wear rubber gloves when digging around in these cars after a high speed acco as there is sometimes remains still left in the cars like shards of bone, blood, fecal matter, urine, vomit and soft tissue.
The men in white vans can only get so much out of it.

Some goose will still buy it though. Which really makes no sense.
Steel recycling prices have dropped in recent times, so I don't know why people still pay $200+ for burnt out or severely damaged cars. Then the fees on top.
