Thumbs up Ford's New Worldwide Fast Car Chief!

Mr Joe Capito Himself!

Interesting they say his guidance will also influence FPV.

Could be some interesting times ahead.

We can only hope he gets what he wants for the vehicles and doesn't have his hands tied by the been counters, which is what seems to be happening here is Aus with FPV!!

Jost Capito had a big part to play in developing the Focus RS. It'd be great if it made it to Australia.

Interesting times indeed. Looking between the lines, it appears Australia could be in a position to drive the large / rear wheel drive performance cars.?

I've spoken to him since the announcement and he's certainly keen as mustard to get stuck into it!! I couldn't think of someone more qualified for the role moving forward, having come from all that Ford of Europe have developed over the last 4 - 5 years.

Nowhere in that piece does it say he will do any work for Ford Australia/FPV, only SVT and TeamRS. And considering FPV is majority owned by Prodrive I can't see how he will have any control over FPV's vehicles.

but yes ford own 49% in FPV so hindsight he can have a big say on what may or may not happen in FPV's future lineups
