hey guys just heard through a mate of mine that there will be a huge blitz in the dandenong area next friday so stay well clear of the place if your car is modified or unroadworthy.
roads like princess hwy, cheltenham rd sth eastern fwy and the eastern will be heavilt patrolled. they will be doing the lot, reg check, rw checks, drink/drug driving and general handing out of traffic fines. there will be about 200 cars out that night the cops reckon they will hit it harder than ever before between 4pm and 11pm but im sure it will go for longer my source is a mate who knows a cop so its fairly reliable |

Do you have any bugs or dirt on your windscreen, headlights, tail lights or indicators? Do your emissions still comply with the appropriate legislation? If not, and even bog standard vehicles all go out of compliance with age, then you are technically unroadworthy and the "sooper trooper" squad within every police force that usually get called out for these enforcements do not care, they just write tickets. |

Harden up - if you drive along Princess Highway or Hang Out at Noble Park Maccas or Narre Warren Krispy Kreem which you know is a HOT SPOT in your car which you know is un-roadworthy and get busted - you only have yourselve to blame.
Thats why "most" ppl who fit Turbos to their cars in Vic revert their car back to a standard look as you know its not RWC and dont want a little yellow sticker.

No surprises there. They've been going nuts for weeks. Last week I was out in that area and had a cop start harassing me and looking over every little bit of my car. In the end he let me go, but said if I hang around I'd be getting a canary for uneven wear on the front tyres, a slight oil leak, and a bit of play in the drivers seat. Now every EA-ED seat I've looked at has just as much play as my seat, EAs leaked oil from new so to get a 19 year old EA not to leak oil is a massively difficult and expensive procedure (none of it hits the ground anyway), and I replaced my ball joints in 07' in the hope it would stop wearing my front tyres unevenly and it still does it. I've had that many wheel alignments, and replaced all the suspension bushes. It's all stuff that I can't really help, so needless to say I'll avoid the highway on Friday/Saturday nights from now on

Judging by what I hear driving around here usually - they should catch a few.
Almost got done for speeding on the Dandenong bypass - might have been about 5 km/h over, looked in the rear vision mirror and he started pulling out ..... to get the next car.... which was an early model Camry. Probably what bothered me most is that despite him sitting at the top of the hill on the centre median near Eastlink in clear view, it only registered with me when it was too late. Regardless of speed, I was focusing on too narrow an area ahead of me.

They got 250 cars the other week
This is the best revenue raiser ever that I agree with as idiots still have cruises to Noble Park Maccas and think its cool..... We all know what happpened with it gets too big and out of hand.....so if your around that area to be "cool" and get done take it like a man instead of crying that the cops picked on you........

To be legal i beleive you need an engineers report look at chris hodges xa coupe i read in street machine a few years ago that he has an engineers report for all his mods. Also there was a bloke with a chev who said his car was fully engineered so if you have that piece of paper techincally cops can do diddly squat to you. |

Was driving my mates R34 Skyline, fairly tricked up althought completely engineered. We were part of a cruise with a bunch of other imports. Get pulled over, first thing cop says to be is where have we been driving tonight because there has been a few calls about a skyline drifting in the area.. wasn't us. Does all the usual checks all is fine. Then starts on the car, this isnt legal this isnt legal blah blah blah, pass him the engineers report, he threw it back at me in the car and said 'what about it' and went on his merry way defecting it.

There's one on Princes Hwy just over Power rd so I suppose its really Doveton ..... behind the Mobil.
You blokes that get picked on by the cops around Macca's ..... you dont think its more the case that Macca's is sick of there car parks being used as Friday night meeting points on their property where paying customers can't even get to the drive in? Been driving around for years now with mine havn't been harrassed? What am I doing wrong? | [/url] |

I've owned modified cars for over 10 years now - and I have never been pulled over for all this stuff some of you blokes go on about. Its not like these cars don't stick out either (my last car was a heavily modified R34, never got pulled over). I think your doing something to be noticed.

The issue for you though is that there are a lot of tools with P plates that drive E series Falcon's so therefore the Police just put you all in the same bag. How are they supposed to know who you are, what you are like and how you drive? Just because you say so doesn't really cut it to them. Maybe blame all the tools that cause the Police to react in this manner as opposed to blaming the Police themselves.
