hmmm. The grill and bonnet are good, its just the headlights and surrounds dont seem right. The rear end is not exactly inspiring either...the silver one in the last pics looks good on that angle though.

Headlights remind me of the GTR, the rear reminds of the Lexes convertible. To me it looks like a rebodied SLR Mclaren.

Needs better light treatment, then I think, it would look ace.
But yes, the original '55 300SL was (is) incredibly beautiful, and a tough act to follow.

IMO....i love it. I have never been a huge fan of the slr but this appeals to me. I just look at it as a new merc coupe rather than think have they captured the essense of the old gull. I'd have one in black or silver like the first pic.

Hmmm, the concept is a great and it would be an awesome drive... but it looks like a cheap-*** skyrine GTR from the front...

I love it, especially in the silver, it's such a clean and sleek look.
It doesn't need tacky wings, stickers or anything like that. Well done Mercedes. I'll add that one to the long list of dream cars.

Not sure if I like it or not. Suppose I cannot afford to like it enough to own one.
Sorta looks like an MX5 and a Viper got it on in the shed one night! |

The front looks quite attractive but the rear just does'nt do it for me, it looks like the rear end of a Lexus sc430.

With almost no design cues taken from the original "gullwing" except for the grille and doors, my guess is the exhaust note alone will be enough to shift these off the showroom floors.
Personally, it's good...but not great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrnIqC8LRds

Love the front and side treatments.......
Rear looks like a mish mash of BMW and Hyundai.....with Exhaust stolen from left over TOYOTA TRD AURION spares. If i had the cash, I'd make sure I always reverse parked it in the garage so I could only see the front. |
