thought i would introduce myself as im new to this forum and AU's.
Names Jason, just turned 21 so thought it was about time i got a more "practical" car. so i bought an AU1 Futura. have a few other cars atm, Toyota Cressida, Toyota Celica with a 1G-GTE, another toyota celica i just bought my my brother and another toyota celica which is my street play toy which will be getting supercharged early next year. anyways, a mate had a AU1 Futura sitting around because he bought a wagon commie. so i bought it for $3000. 3 months rego, soundsteam stereo, double din tv/dvd player, 17" mags and its on gas. extractors with 2 1/2" exhaust, great car. oh and it also had a steering wheel cover that sang "hot stuff".. yeah, i know.. plans for it atm isnt over board as it will be my daily. going to get a S2/3 bonnet, get a TS50 body kit aside from the spoiler and take it to work and get it painted. and lower it. thats about it. pics from a year or so ago.. was alot dirtier than this when i bought it. when i got it yesterday we washed it.. came up really well. |

S.A. aswell nice. North Suburbs I take it by the last picture?
Mods and Future plans sound good!. I'd probably add clear side indicators to the list and colour codded mirror scalps (or chrome), Debagde it, S2 Head lights and Tail lights ;) You got a pic of the interior?

just treat her nice, she's not your nimble little teenage girlfriend you once could throw around in the bedroom (i.e the matchbox cars listed above), treat her to some TLC and she'll love you forever ;)

Cheers for the warm welcome guys, dont get that on many forums these
days. Quote:
getting colour coded ;).. defiantly getting debadged and the tail lights are defiantly getting changed to s2... but i didnt know that there was a difference between the headlights? Quote:
the RA40 was free, not one spot of rust, perfect interior, with a fair amount of mods including dual rear sway bars, and RT142 disc brake rear end. the rt104 was free, but was past its used by date.. so we took it too the youth group down here and let them go at it with sledge hammers lol. i have had other cars besides toyotas, have had a 1 owner XE S-Pack, XE Fairmont, Manual XF Falcon, GC Chrysler Galant. only FWD's i have had though is a N12 Astra and N12 Pulsar when i was about 13. |

the new headlights i bought were $220 for 2, and they were brand newys
i think there is a different, series1 head lights have like a painted chrome inside them, s2 and 3 have like a very shiny chrome in them, you can also see your self in them
