hi guys, i already looked in the technical resources for this but found nothing, only this http://www.fordforums.com.au/vbporta...article&id=312 by GK, but what i want to know is that how much torque i should tighten the drain bolt and the oil filter up to, will this be in any of the ford manual?

I think for the oil filter its 3/4 of a turn after the o ring has contacted the block. I just do mine up firm by hand. Make sure the old o ring is not on the block before you fit the new filter.

As beer Baron has said for the filter, and with the drain plug it just needs to be tight but not overly tight, just past nipped up should be good

1/2 a turn before breaking is usually the rule for most nuts/bolts.

My brother used to have Triumph motorbikes a while ago. He would also just nip the bolts up "a little more" and his strength combined with British alloy..... well, he wasn't called the Hellicoil King for nothing! LOL!
