Hi guys i desperately need help whith my au. All of a suden my car started to heat up it had coolant (nulon) inside. about a month before that was not blowing hot air .I took it to the mechanic and he changed radiator and thermostat, flush the car number of times, now heater does blow hot air but engine heats up when car is reved up for 2000 over 2 to 3 seconds thats only when there is coolant inside. if i take coolant out and just use water its fine. fans are also kiking in at high and low speed as required.

Sounds like you're getting air-locks in it.
Try this: Remove thermostat. Turn heater to "hot". Fill cooling system with coolant & run for 5 or 10 minutes. Put thermostat back in, top up coolant & run again. Should fix the problem.

So let me get this straight... you leave the conditioner in the water and your cabin heater doesn't work... but when you use only water, the cabin heater mysteriously works again?

Is the coolant anti-freeze only (ie not anti-boil)?

The only time i've seen issue's caused by conditioner actually heating up the water was when a mechanic put far to much in and it turned to gel...

what temperature is the thermostat? i have a 92 deg one in mine and it sits exactly in between n and o all the time no matter how hot it is outside. if your thermostat is hotter than this, the gauge may be moving up before the thermostat opens. i don't see how it can "get hot" when you are using coolant and not when you are using water. i have the exact same coolant as that in mine and have no issues, although i have mine mixed at about 33% coolant to 67% water.

Check the basics - radiator cap, gauge and sender unit. Check cap is holding specified pressure. Get an infrared thermometer and check the reading on top of the thermostat housing against the gauge and sender unit resistance readings.
