Default New sterio in AU2 and now tail light fuse blows?

A mate of mine put a New sterio in AU2 wagon and now the tail light fuse blows? Anyone had this problem before?

when i put my aftermarket Sound system in my car we blue the same fuse so all we did was put a Bigger Amp one in it and haven had a prob since

Where is your earth connected to. I bet its to the dimmer wire in the factory harness. It will measure as earth when the lights are off, but not when they are on.

I think you are correct, he changed the position of the neg and all is now good. Thanks.
