normally it changes fine but if i put my foot flat to the floor it accelerates untill it has to change gears then it has ALOT of trouble finding the next gear and the car kind of dies in the *** untill i back off the accelerator and try again, its done 170 000 k's and its got a tranny cooler, any thoughts what causes this?

have you tried changing to auto oil?i remember hearing a while ago on here of a bloke who had similar problems and he changed the auto oil and it was perfect he said the oil was like black

seems to only do it when going up hill, it will drop out of first gear at about 5000 revs, then pick it up again then drop it again then pick it up and change to second,
still managed to flog my mates modified vx though |
