This GT is the American Ford GT i take it? If so is it the same one that runs the two turbos through a blower?

The record is open to any car... it doesn't need to be factory.

Any car that can do 0-400kph in 7.3 secs or less would need more than 1400hp. Think Top Fueller. 8000hp and counting. And think, that GT is not only just as fast as a Veyron, but it did it in only 1 mile (1.6km). That's stupidly fast. Looks like it could go faster too. I wonder what it's actual top speed would be if driven on the VW Test Oval thingy. I want it.

Listen to the audio on the video, it sounds like there is blower whine as well.

I saw this vid yesterday and it's just insane, with more road in front it would easily hit 300mph, with taller gearing i reckon 320. Pure insane unadulterated awesomeness

That is insane. Traction? What Traction? Makes you think if it could actually get some what it would be capable of or would things start to break?
All things aside still an incredible record, everytime i see an American GT i fall in love a little more. 1400hp is just a bonus :
