Default Another idiotic prank - rocks on freeway

When will the muppets ever learn?

News Link

A LATE-NIGHT prank on one of Melbourne's main freeways has damaged two vehicles.

Two huge rocks had been hidden inside McDonald's take-away paper bags and placed on the EastLink Freeway.

A motorist in the southbound lane smashed into the hidden rock at 100km/h, causing damage to one of the wheels around 1.20am (AEDT).

Minutes later, another vehicle struck the other huge rock and became airborne, crashing back down on the freeway and causing severe damage to its undercarriage.

Police say it is amazing no-one was injured in both pranks.

Officers are now searching for any witnesses.

The prank comes five months after a similar incident on another Melbourne motorway.

In May, someone pushed a 23kg blue stone brick off a Monash Freeway overpass, injuring a driver as the boulder smashed through his truck's windscreen and struck him in the shoulder.

What is the world coming too, these people who are pushing rocks/boulders off FWY bridges seriously need there heads examined and now they ramp it up to placing rocks on the road way, if/when they get caught name and shame them full page spread in all media and then face to face with the relevant people that have been directly impacted by there stupid behaviour

Travelling along the Monash back and forth for work day and night, l am continuously scanning the bridges to see if anyone is looking suspicious.

Some people would complain about having CCTV cameras everywhere. But it's the only way to try and prevent idiots like this. And if they are stupid enough to still do it, at least they can probably be found.

the word prank has no place being used in this instance. These clowns when out with the clear intent to cause damage and possibly injury. Simply not acceptable behaviour for anyone to be undertaking, severe punishment and not a slap on the wrist is what is needed.

I absolutely agree. Same with arson. They should be charged with attempted murder or murder if someone dies, and heck while we're at it, throw terrorism in there too.

it's no prank

these idiots are a public danger

i vote for when these gusy are found, to be tied to achair, and ran into a wall with equal force to what the car was travelling.

this punishment should be ona a govt website, with details of the offender.

i bet....2 people will get caught before it stops completely.

I've chased teenagers after having a rock hit my windscreen a few years ago. Lucky I restrained myself as I was happy to run them over, but they went down a lane-way.

Disgusting.

When will the muppets ever learn?

When they are charged with attempted murder and spend a substantial ( over 10 years ) amount of time in a gaol cell .

Muppets? They aren't muppets.

They're little poobags that need their **** kicked big time.

The sad thing is that if they happened to be killed under any circumstances, their family and friends would all say **** like, 'ohh, they were so caring' and 'they wouldn't hurt a fly', while their former Scouts leader would say, 'they always made me proud...nobody was better at starting a camp fire' etc.

The legal system will treat them as juveniles and as a result, they'll get a slap on the wrist with a feather duster and they'll walk away laughing, then be idolised by their equally-unevolved chimp friends who'll dance around in a circle, throwing their faeces at each other.

I would love a $200,000 fine on each of their heads. It's harsh, but hey, they'd be screwed for life. Prevention is better than cure.

Why should we wait for something bad to happen before we punish? Why should somebody have to die?

Ahhh...I'm irrational!

Just makes me want to move out of this country if these are the vermin who will soon be in our work force, god help us all.

Friend of ours ran over what looked like a maccas bag in the middle of the road a couple of months back, little sods had filled it with bricks. He was none too happy to say the least.
