Hey all, I just bought a Car in Vic and it obviously has Vic reg, however I'm moving to Perth tomorrow.
I bought it privately without a Rwc so it is still in the old owners name. Would I be better off taking it to w.a and transferring it over there or would I be better off doing it in Vic before I leave. Vic transfer fee is $720+ wa is $520 ish Car still has reg til nov 11 If I transfer it here I have to get a Rwc first. Just looking for anything that I may have overlooked, ie: wrong forms for wa (have Vic transfer papers) or any other headache? Thoughts? |

You have to get a RWC anyway, even though you bought it without. You may as well do it all in WA where you will be a local.
