This is a small game to measure your average reaction time over 5 attempts.
Apparently the British driving manual says the average motorist's reaction time is 0.75 seconds, so see how you go: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbo...n_version5.swf Obviously this is a bit different to operating a motor vehicle but still interesting. Farnsworth Edit: try this one too, basically a stoplight game: http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/...time/index.php

not sure how i got 0.00 for 4 of them as there was a definite slight movement but maybe it starts timing from when they break past the line of the pack.. I have been told by doctors i have ridiculously quick reflexes though lol.

i did this just after waking up...got an average of 0.28. After an hour i got 0.22.....after a few more tries i got 0.2. So either i'm just getting better at it (and wasting time) or driving just after waking up is as bad for your reaction times as i always suspected. Never thought i was as on top of it just after i woke up or after a snooze on a flight etc. so might be some truth to it....

someone beat me already.
in the mean time here is another one which is much harder i've found. It's also more appropriate as you have to wait for the red to turn green - best i can do so far (fastest, not average) is 229ms - apparently the median is 215?! as far as all these tests go, they're somewhat dependant on your hardware too, especially your mouse type and how much travel there is in the button before it depresses the microswitch to send the signal to the computer. http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/...time/index.php

Ok Had to try this, and I found it is VERY hardware dependant.
on laptop 0.22 on desktop 0.28 inside a VM 0.01 so I'll take the VM score ;-)
