What's The Go With All The Capital Letters?
Just trying to make sense of your post. So you are looking at a 302 that has done 351K and wanting to know if you should rebuild it before transplanting it into your EB? Not being smart, just that your post is very confusing. |

Mate I would go to the wreckers and get a 302 with less K's on it.
A rebuild is good if you know what you're doing and can easily source parts, machine shops etc etc. Whilst a rebuild is good fun, you're going to have numerous problems putting a V8 where a 6 used to belong. Wiring harnesses and such will provide you with many a complicated and frustrating hour, much less a rebuild. Get one with less K's and once you've got it sorted, when it becomes a problem rebuild it.

Come on mate, at least it's legible.
Let's just try to give some advice on the question he's asked. Rebuild or not rebuild.

Welcome to the forums...
The price of these cars are really at rock bottom which is always good for the buyer. Unless your car is absolutely fantastic or highly modified - it would probably be worth changing to a lower km version. However - you could always go to the auctions and buy a damaged low km 6 or V8 and transfer all the running gear over. The V8 is a lot more work to retrofit but it has been done numerous times and if you use the search button on the upper right hand side of the sceen you should be able to find whatever you want. To put it into perspective - my father bought an ED XR6 with 300+ kms on it but it was fully maintained by it's previous owner and he drove it around for another 3 years until my younger brother who is a mechanic rebuilt the motor (because he wanted to put a cam and more compression into it). At 300000 that ED drove tighter than many cars with half the kms on it.... Don't rebuilt it unless you have a reason to do it.
